On The Line

Filmed over the course of 10 years, On the Line explores the careers of three professional fighters - Will "Power" Rosinsky, Danny "The Miracle Man" Jacobs and Patrick "All" Day - as they strive to become world champions in one of the most unforgiving of all sports. Set against the gritty backdrop of New York City, with its fabled boxing history and culture, the film follows the intense bond and camaraderie between the three men and how each one has influenced the others throughout their lives and careers.

Through its intimate, years-long shooting process, On the Line presents a layered understanding of the progression of time across these men’s lives. Eschewing the glamor and million-dollar purses typically focused in most boxing narratives, the film tells a sobering story about the realities of professional boxing and the price athletes pay to pursue their dreams.

As much a boxing documentary as a poignant study of human nature, and human limits, On the Line offers unprecedented insight into one of our least understood passions.
