Movie Night Under the Stars: Father of the Bride (1991)

Spend a summer night outdoors at the library for a screening of the nostalgic romantic comedy Father of the Bride. George and Nina Banks find their world turned upside down when their beloved only daughter returns home from studying abroad and announces that she’s getting married. George, unwilling to face the fact that his little girl has grown up, begins to unravel as the wedding plans spiral out of control. The film became a box-office hit thanks to its charming cast, including Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams-Paisley in her breakout role, and the hilarious Martin Short, along with its sentimental orchestral score and romantic classic pop standards.
