
In this touching film, Brendan Fraser plays an American actor in Tokyo struggling to find purpose in life. He lands an unusual gig with a Japanese “rental family” agency playing stand-in roles for strangers. As he becomes involved in the lives of his clients, he begins to form genuine bonds blurring the lines between performance and reality. Through these relationships, he begins to rediscover a sense of belonging, purpose and the beauty of human connection.
