Cat Caught In Hunting Trap, Shot, Needs Help
"What has happened to this sweet cat? If only she could talk and tell the tale of her life, I'm sure it would not be a pretty one."

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Help is needed for a five-year-old cat found caught in a hunting trap with a bullet lodged in her hip.
According to Joe Sprague, executive director of the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation, My Girl, a tabby, was found in the trap with a badly broken back leg.
"In my many years in the animal rescue industry, I have seen animals in need of help with a multitude of injuries and medical needs. It always amazes me no matter how badly an animal may be injured — how resilient they are, still only wanting to show us love," Sprague said.

Despite her injuries as My Girl sits in the carrier, waiting to go to the veterinary emergency room, she is "purring, rubbing her head up against my hand and just wants to be loved and give love," he said.
He added: "What has happened to this sweet cat? If only she could talk and tell the tale of her life, I’m sure it would not be a pretty one."
