Choral Society of the Hamptons Announces Scholarship Recipients
The scholarship was given to four South Fork students.

The Choral Society of the Hamptons recently announced the recipients of the 2014 scholarship for vocal training.
Four South Fork students received the award including:

- Megan Beedenbender of Pierson High School
- Rebecca Dwoskin of Pierson High School
- Oree Livni of Pierson High School
- Jacqueline Minogue of Southampton High School
The winners received a $500 scholarship after a thorough application process and audition.
During their auditions, Megan sang “Widmung” by Robert Schumann, in German; Rebecca sang “The Next Best Thing to Love” from A Class Act; Oree sang “Libera Me,” a baritone aria from Gabriel Faure’s Requiem; and Jacqueline sang “O Mio Babbino Caro” by Giacomo Puccini, according to Hamptons.com.

The society has been offering the scholarship since 2002 in honor of Norman Dello Joio, Doris and William Leese, and Charlotte Rogers Smith.
Participants include high school juniors and seniors are recommended by the heads of their schools’ vocal departments, and home-schooled students at the equivalent levels.
