Driver Airlifted To Stony Brook After Dump Truck T Bones SUV Near County Center: Police

One driver was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital after an SUV was T-boned by a dump truck on Center Drive near the County Center and courts in Riverside Tuesday afternoon, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the accident took place at 12:24 p.m. when a driver was pulling out of the County Center and struck by the dump truck on County Road 51.

Three people were hurt, with one driver airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, another taken by ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center and a third taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.

No charges were filed, police said.
