Driver Falls Asleep, Crashes Into Pole in Sag Harbor

Both the driver and the passenger were sent to the hospital.

A driver of a Mercedes-Benz SUV and his passenger were sent to Southampton Hospital after the driver fell asleep and hit a utility pole on Route 114 in Sag Harbor on Sunday morning, according to The East Hampton Star.

The crash caused damaged to the front of the car and caused the airbags to deploy, The East Hampton Star reports. One pole was broken in two pieces and had to be replaced, according to the report.
