East Hampton Woman Charged With DWI In Tuckahoe: Police

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Tuckahoe Thursday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Christina Dempsey, 43, was arrested at 9:32 p.m. on County Road 39 and Henry Road after she was seen failing to maintain her lane.

The vehicle was stopped and upon interview it was revealed that she was driving her motor vehicle while intoxicated, police said. Dempsey was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI and moving from lane unsafely, an infraction, police said.

She was taken to Southampton Town Police headquarter for arrest processing and was held in Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment, police said.
