Hamptons Marathon/Half Marathon Takes Place This Saturday

The event will begin at 8 a.m. at Springs School on 48 School Street in East Hampton.

The Hamptons Marathon and Half-Marathon will take place this Saturday, Sept. 27 starting at 8 a.m at Springs School on 48 School Street in East Hampton.

The marathon is a favorite fall race for runners and has sold out the last seven years. Last year runners from 35 states and 6 countries ran in the Hamptons Marathon and Half-Marathon.

Runners of the Hamptons Marathon will start together with those running the Half and they will finish at the same finish line. The races diverge at mile 6. The courses run through Amagansett, Springs and East Hampton with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Napeague Bay out to the Long Island Sound and covers some of the most beautiful terrain on Long Island’s East End. Runners will travel through wooded roads and past gorgeous beaches on a course that is generally flat and fast with a few rolling hills.
