Man, 81, Charged With Menacing Woman With A Knife: Police

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An 81-year-old Southampton man was arrested after he menaced a woman with a knife, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the incident took place Tuesday night at 8:18 p.m. when a call came in regarding a dispute in Southampton and a woman reported that the man had the knife.

Robert Rahle, of Southampton, was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors, police said.

Rahle was transported to Southampton Town Police Department headquarters where he was processed and held overnight for arraignment, police said.
