Man Charged With DWI After Crossing Over Yellow Line: PD

The man was arrested in Southampton, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he was seen crossing over the yellow center line several times in Southampton, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, on Friday at 9:07 p.m., Fidel Morales-Gonzalez, 42, of Southampton was seen crossing over the yellow line on North Sea Mecox Road; he was stopped for the violations, police said.

Morales-Gonzalez was arrested, charged with misdemeanor DWI, as well as failure to keep right and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on the highway, both infractions; he was taken to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing and released on an appearance ticket for a future court date, police said.
