Minnie, Dog Lost For 59 Days, Found Safe In Sag Harbor
Minnie's story is nothing short of "amazing," those who spent months looking for her say. "Never give up."

SAG HARBOR, NY — After 59 long days and nights "on the run," a missing dog has been found safe in Sag Harbor.
Barbara Jude Frerichs is one of the many who spent months looking for Minnie, who has been lost since April 15. Minnie, Frerichs said, was spotted Saturday at Oakland Cemetery in Sag Harbor.
"It is nothing less than true elation," Frerichs said.

Minnie initially went missing from Long Beach Road in Noyack after she slipped out of her collar.
Teddy Henn, of Missing Angels - Long Island, spent months looking daily for Minnie, as did Carol Holley, Arline Blake, Lynn Fodale and Frerichs.

"I'm just so happy she is safe. That is really all that matters," Frerichs said. "Having people call in sightings, particularly the last one by Loretta DePinto, kept us going."
The joyful news spread on social media.
A post on the Missing Angels - Long Island Facebook page read: "We have amazing news! Minnie, missing in Sag Harbor since April 15 is safe. 59 days on the run! Never give up!"

Minnie is currently back at the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Frerichs said.
