Mother, Daughter Busted in 'Violent' Bat Attack on Woman: Police
The duo targeted the victim while she was riding her bicycle and also rammed her with a mini-van, police said.

FLANDERS, NY - A mother and daughter were charged with a "violent assault" on a woman that included hitting her with a baseball bat and ramming her with a minivan, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the attack took place on May 12 near the Shamrock Gas Station in Flanders.
The duo targeted their victim while she was riding her bicycle and proceeded to ram her with the mini-van they were driving in, police said.

Once the victim fell to the ground the daughter, Allison Cowell, 34, of Ridge, took a baseball bat and repeatedly hit the victim while the mother, Patricia Seymour, 61, of Ridge, held back bystanders to keep them from rendering any aid, police said.
The victim, a 30 year old woman from Riverhead with whom the duo had reportedly had an earlier dispute, was transported to Peconic Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, police said.

Cowell was charged two counts of assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, and a Southampton Town bench warrant, police said. Seymour was charged with one count of assault in the second degree, police said.
