EAST END, NY — As protests continue across the country in response to the killing of George Floyd, who begged for help and his mama, saying "I can't breathe" as a police officer pressed his knee into his neck — new demonstrations are planned for across the East End.

A protest, "I Can't Breathe," is scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. at Agawam Park. The event is slated to include "local leaders and voices of hope."

Later on Thursday at 6 p.m., a "Black Lives Matter" protest will be held, beginning at Agawam Park. Those in attendance are asked to wear comfortable dark or solid colors, preferably black hoodies, to show solidarity, as well as sneakers.

Friday, June 5

A youth "Black Lives Matter" peaceful protest march to "stand in solidarity" is scheduled for Sag Harbor on Friday from noon to 3 p.m. Participants are asked to meet at Steinbeck Park.

Sunday, June 7

"Say Their Names: A Peaceful Rally" is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in East Hampton Village, meet at the Hook Mill. For additional information, click here.
