North Sea Fire Department Awards Annual Scholarships to Deserving Students
In an outpouring of generosity by the North Sea Fire Department, more than $10,000 in scholarships was awarded this year.

NORTH SEA, NY - A beloved annual tradition unfolded again this week as the North Sea Fire Department continued its tradition of awarding scholarships to young people in the community.
The North Sea Fire Department's scholarship program was commenced in 1963 by Tate King and members of the department. Tate chaired the committee until his son, Richie King, took over in 1987.
Back in 1963, a $100 scholarship was awarded. Today, the generosity has grown by leaps and bounds, with more than $10,000 awarded to students to help with the soaring costs of education.
