• Southampton High School Celebrates Homecoming Week: Photos (patch.com) — School spirit is front and center in Southampton as the High School Mariners mark homecoming week with theme days, a pep rally, bonfire, barbecue, and the annual dance. Students are also turning out to support their classmates at featured athletic events, making the celebration a major highlight of the fall season in town.
   

• Southampton Arts Center Celebrates East End Artists (danspapers.com) — Southampton Arts Center has opened its latest East End Collected 9 exhibition, spotlighting artists from across Suffolk County with strong ties to the local creative community. Curated by Southampton artist Paton Miller and SAC director Christina Strassfield, the show brings together painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and printmaking that reflect the region's diverse talent and gives Southampton residents a fresh reason to visit the center.
   

• Surfrider Celebrates Beach Access Wins This Fall (surfrider.org) — Southampton Village residents will keep easier off‑season access to local beaches after Surfrider's Eastern Long Island chapter helped defeat a proposal for year‑round parking permits and expanded permit zones. Following community testimony and organizing, trustees voted on August 13, 2026, to reject the changes, preserving more flexible parking for surfing, fishing, and other recreation while Surfrider highlights similar beach‑access fights nationwide.
