Person Struck By LIRR Train In Bridgehampton: Police
The person was struck just before noon on Thursday, MTA Police say.
BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a train at the Long Island Rail Road crossing in Bridgehampton Thursday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the crash took place at 11:59 a.m. near Lumber Lane.
MTA Spokesperson Kayla Shults said the LIRR reported delays on the Montauk Branch after a person was struck by a westbound train at the Sag Harbor Turnpike railroad crossing in Bridgehampton.

The person was reported to still be alive after being struck and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital. The MTA is investigating the incident.
The BridgehamptonFire Dept, and members of Bridgehampton Ambulance, responded to the scene, police said.
