Police Asking For Help From Public After Southampton Assault
The assault took place on July 10, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — New York State Police are asking for the public's help in an investigation into an assault in Southampton on July 10.
According to New York State Police, the incident took place at 5:39 p.m. at the Shinnecock Lobster Factory at 42 Montauk Highway. A man said he was hit in the face with an object by two people, which caused him to fall to the ground; while on the ground, the pair kicked him several times and then left the scene, police said.
He was transported to a local hospital and treated for his injuries, police said.
