Rash Of Stolen Luxury Cars In Hamptons
Residents in the Hamptons have been reporting their high-end Mercedes and Range Rovers stolen overnight, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — There's been a rash of luxury vehicle thefts in the Hamptons in recent months, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, detectives have been conducting an investigation into the thefts of the high end cars. Residents from Bridgehampton to Westhampton have reported their vehicles stolen in the overnight hours, police said. The targeted vehicles have been primarily Mercedes and Range Rovers, police said.
Southampton Town Police urged residents to take precautions when leaving vehicles parked, especially overnight. Tips include locking all doors and setting alarms; parking cars near motion detectors and/or video surveillance; parking vehicles in locked garages; removing all key fobs, including any hidden keys; removing all valuables from sight; making sure you have all passwords for OnStar; and calling police immediately when vehicles are missing.
