Southampton Hospital Recognized as One of "Most Wired" Hospitals in Nation

Southampton Hospital was recently recognized as one of the “Most Wired” hospitals in the nation, according to the results of Health Care’s 17th annual Most Wired Survey.
This is the fourth year in a row the hospital received the honor.
The survey, conducted by Hospitals and Health Networks in cooperation with McKesson Corp., AT&T, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, and the American Hospital Association, was designed to measure the level of IT adoption in U.S. hospitals and health systems, and is useful tool for hospital and health system leadership to map their IT strategic plans.

The hospital was listed as one of the 26 hospitals that were “most improved.”
“Our IT team should be recognized for the exceptional work they are doing to create seamless access to vital patient records throughout the Hospital’s entire organization, including an extensive network of satellite facilities and medical practice offices,” Southampton President and CEO Robert S. Chaloner said. “Digital records will improve the quality of healthcare for our patients and has the potential to save lives.”
