Southampton Septemberfest Kicks Off This Weekend

The 4th Annual Southampton Septemberfest will take place from Friday, Sept. 26 to Sunday Sept. 28.

This year’s event will include performances by Jester Jim, strolling entertainment by Bindlestiff Family Cirkus performers, the Chowder Contest, Taste of the East End food vendors and the dedication of the new Agawam Ferry with rides all weekend long.

Live music will be performed throughout the village featuring Caroline Doctorow & The Steamrollers, Eastbound Freight, Inda Eaton, Charles Certain and Certain Moves, Mick Hargreaves, Cassandra House, Jim Turner, Vanessa Trouble and the Next Level Band.

There will be pumpkin decorating, face painting and the chance to have a caricature drawn, plus the farmers market, art vendors and art exhibitions. The Maniac Pumpkin Carvers will create The Wizard of Oz.

It all begins on Friday night with the Southampton Rotary Club’s Kick-off Cocktail Party featuring New Life Crisis and continues through Saturday and Sunday.
