Police: Masked Armed Man Invades Northampton Home

Southampton Town Police received a 911 call on Sept. 4 from the occupants at 46 Birch Court in Northampton who told police an armed suspect wearing a face mask made entry, demanded money and drugs, menaced them with a handgun and then fled from the residence, according to Southampton Town Police.

Southampton Town Police and detectives, New York State Police and K-9 units, Suffolk County Police Department Aviation, and Suffolk County Sheriff units responded to the scene to search for the suspect, according to police.

There were no reported injuries and no proceeds from the home.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 230 pounds, about 5-foot-1, dressed in black with a face mask, according to police.
