Suffolk County Seeking Volunteers to Help Investigate Possible Ritualistic Killings of Animals
There were two incidents of possible ritualistic killings on the East End since June.

The Suffolk County SPCA is seeking the public’s help to seek volunteers for Humane Investigators.
Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk SPCA said that more investigators are needed in the Suffolk SPCA due to the upsurge in animal cruelty cases, specifically ritualistic killings.
On the East End, there were two incidents of possible ritualistic killings.

Last week, three chickens were found beheaded in the Riverhead area and last month three goats were beheaded and dumped in Calverton.
New Investigators must pass a background check, have a clean, valid drivers license, and will receive training in areas such as Animal Cruelty Laws, Penal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Agriculture and Markets Law, report writing, and courtroom testimony.
