Truck Bursts Into Flames In Hamptons Wednesday

Firefighters rushed to the scene Wednesday morning.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A truck was fully engulfed in flames in Southampton Wednesday morning, officials said.

According to the Chris Brenner, public information officer for the Southampton Fire Department, the fire broke out at 8:06 a.m. on Foster Crossing in Southampton Village.

First arriving Chief Alfred Callahan reported the vehicle “fully involved” and an engine arrived on scene four minutes later to extinguish the fire, Brenner said.

Members operated on scene for just under an hour; the fire was placed “under control” at 8:58 a.m. Brenner said.
