Woman, 85, Dies After Crash With Bus In Hamptons: Police
No charges have been filed in the crash, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A woman injured in a crash with a Hampton Jitney busin Southampton Monday has died, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Elizabeth Genovese, 85, died at Stony Brook University Hospital after the crash.
The call came in at 10:19 a.m. about the crash on County Road 39, police said. Genovese was driving south and the bus, driven by Nedgra Baker, 51, of Middle Island, was heading north, when the "Jeep abruptly turned in front of the Jitney," police said. "The Jitney had no time to avoid collision."
