Woman Hurt in Hit-and-Run Water Mill Crash
The woman was walking on Davids Lane when she was struck, police say.

A woman was injured after she was hit by a car in Water Mill on Sunday morning, according to Southampton Town Police.
Joanne Mercer, 62, was walking on Davids Lane when she was hit by a car that fled the area, according to police.
She was then assisted by a passing jogger who called police, police said.

Southampton Volunteer Ambulance responded to the scene and treated her before transporting her to Southampton Hospital.
Mercer is currently in stable condition, police said.

The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call 631-702-2230.
