Woman Raises Funds For Friend Ravaged By Hurricanes

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Southampton woman is opening her heart to help a friend whose life has been ravaged by hurricanes.

A GoFundMe page, "T & C Family Hurricane Relief Fund" was created by Nicole Collum of Southampton.

"I am reaching out to try and raise money for my dear friend and his family down in Turks and Caicos. They were recently struck by two hurricanes, one right after the other. He, his mother, grandmother, two sisters, brother and niece all luckily made it through, but their house is badly damaged," she wrote.

"All of the people on those small islands are suffering right now. I am lucky enough to know one of them that I can try and help directly. Please help me raise enough money so this kind soul can get himself and his family back on track," she said.
