• 9-Year-Old Rescued In Near-Drowning At Private Pool Party In Hudson Valley: Sheriff (dailyvoice.com) — A 9-year-old nearly drowned at a private pool party in the Town of Southeast on Sunday, but quick CPR from people at the gathering and fast response from deputies and EMS helped the child recover. The child was taken to Danbury Hospital, kept overnight for observation, and is reported to be recovering well, authorities said. 
• Drunk Driver, 26, Caught With 6-Year-Old In Car On Route 22 In Southeast: Sheriff (dailyvoice.com) — A driver was arrested in Southeast after deputies say they saw his vehicle cross the double yellow line on Route 22 and discovered he was intoxicated with a 6-year-old passenger. He faces multiple DWI-related charges, including under Leandra’s Law, and was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Justice Court and released.
