2 Hudson Valley Men Arrested After Traffic Stop
A Putnam County man faces an illegal drug charge, police said.

MAHOPAC, NY — A pair of Hudson Valley men were arrested Nov. 21 after a traffic stop. Yorktown police said, around 10:33 p.m., an officer on routine patrol on Stony Street saw a vehicle going above the speed limit.
The officer stopped the car and identified the driver as Saad Khan, 31, of Yorktown. An inquiry found that his driver's license was suspended and the vehicle he was driving did not have a valid state safety inspection, police said.
Another officer, with his canine partner Dallas, were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Dallas searched the vehicle and found a quantity of cocaine, police said.
Gino DiCaprio, 31, of Mahopac, who was a passenger in car, was arrested for drug possession, police said.

Both men were taken to Yorktown Police Headquarters.
Kahn was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and speed in zone and uninspected motor vehicle, traffic infractions.
He was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.
DiCaprio was charge with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
He was held overnight and after arraignment was released on $2,500 bail.
DiCaprio is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 27.
