4 DWI Arrests In Southeast: Cops
New York State police in Troop K said they removed 20 impaired drivers from roads over the April 13 weekend.
SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State police in Troop K said they removed 20 impaired drivers from public roads over the April 13 weekend. Arrests in Brewster and Southeast included residents of Carmel, Ridgefield, Katonah and New Haven.
The Carmel resident was charged with a felony because there were children in the car, police said.
- On April 12, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Barbara M. Hensel, 54, of Ridgefield, CT, for DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony. She was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
- On April 13, State Police from SP Brewster arrested David Bilichuk, 40, of Carmel, NY, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law, a class E felony. He was traveling on Main Street in the village of Brewster, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol with children in the vehicle, police said.
- On April 14, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Dorian J. Dorsey, 28, of Katonah, NY, for DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substnace in the 7th degree, and Resisting Arrest, all misdemeanors. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, possessed concentrated cannabis, and had three of more suspensions on his license. Dorsey resisted, but was subsequently arrested, police alleged.
- On April 14, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Rebecca E. Coatsworth, 24, of New Haven, CT, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, police said.
