5 Weekend DWI Arrests In Brewster And Southeast
State police in Troop K said they removed 17 impaired drivers from public roadways over the March 2 weekend.
State police from Troop K reported arrests over the weekend of 17 people accused of driving while impaired. That included arrests in Brewster and Southeast.
- On March 2, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Juan C. Ramos Mendez, 23, of Cortlandt, NY, for DWI and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on Danbury Road in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
- On March 2, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Samuel Zuniga, 58, of Patterson, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.
- On March 3, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Sindi S. Castro Perez, 23, of Poughkeepsie, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 6 in the town of Southeast, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
- On March 3, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Christian A. Cordon Rodriguez, 21, of Brewster, NY, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on North Main Street in the village of Brewster, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.
- On March 3, State Police from SP Brewster arrested Elmer O. Marcos Velasquez, 28, of Brewster, NY, for DWI. He operated his vehicle to the SP Brewster barracks on State Route 22 in the town of Southeast to pick up another subject released by the State Police. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
