Somers Orthopedic Doctors Named Top Docs

Drs. Joel S. Buchalter, Douglas J. Fauser and Victor Khabie, leading orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine experts with Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group, have been named top Orthopaedic doctors. The merit is from Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.’s annual survey and rigorous screening process to select top doctors. Doctors do not and cannot pay to be selected and profiled as Castle Connolly Top Doctors.

JOEL S. BUCHALTER, M.D., F.A.A.O.S., F.A.C.S. – GENERAL ORTHOPAEDICS AND SPORTS MEDICINE SPECIALIST, LEADER IN TOTAL JOINT REPLACEMENT
Dr. Joel Buchalter has been in practice since 1988 and is a founding partner of Somers Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Group.. He is the president of the medical staff and Co-director of the Orthopaedic Institute at Putnam Hospital Center. Dr. Buchalter is on staff at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, and Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mount Kisco.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Disease Orthopaedic Institute Dr. Buchalter received his board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1990. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

DOUGLAS J. FAUSER, M.D., F.A.A.O.S., F.A.C.S. - GENERAL ORTHOPAEDICS AND SPORTS MEDICINE SPECIALIST, LEADER IN TOTAL JOINT REPLACEMENT
Dr. Fauser received his board certification in 1990 and is a founding partner of Somers Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Group. Dr. Fauser is on staff at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, where is is co-director at the Orthopaedic Institute.. Dr. Victor Khabie, a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, is Chief of Surgery and Chief of Sports Medicine Surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital.  He is also the Co-Director of the Orthopaedic and Spine Institute at Northern Westchester Hospital in addition to the Co-Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery.  Dr. Khabie is on staff at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco and Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel.  He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Disease Orthopaedic Institute.   Dr. Khabie is a Ring Side Physician for the New York State Athletic Commission where he cares for professional boxers.  He also serves as Team Physician for the Pace University Athletic Department, Newburgh Free Academy Athletics.

Somers Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Group, founded in 1988, is one of the most comprehensive and specialized practices in the region.
