Taconic Turn Signal Stop Leads To Felony Weapons Charges For 2 Dutchess Men: Sheriff
The green Honda Civic was pulled over, then Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies found a loaded pistol with high-capacity magazine.
TOWN OF PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — A lack of common courtesy on the road led directly to serious legal troubles for two Hudson Valley travelers, according to law enforcement in Putnam County.
Putnam County Sheriff Brian Hess says that 36-year-old Kiam A. Gory, of Beacon, and 47-year-old Curtis L. Lunsford, of Wappingers Falls, were arrested after a traffic stop in the Town of Putnam Valley.
On Friday, around 7:02 p.m., members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Conditions Unit stopped a green Honda Civic after seeing the vehicle fail to use a turn signal while turning right onto the Taconic State Parkway, in the Town of Putnam Valley.

During the investigation, deputies report finding a loaded pistol with a high-capacity magazine inside the vehicle. The driver, Gory, and the front passenger, Lunsford, were then both taken into custody.
They were each charged with felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm); felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (large capacity ammunition feeding device); and felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (previous conviction).

Gory was arraigned in the Town of Putnam Valley Court and then remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility with bail set at $25,000 cash/$50,000 bond.
Lunsford was also arraigned and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility, without bail due to two previous felony convictions.
