Anti-Semitic Graffiti Scrawled On Nelsonville Home
Putnam politicians were outraged by the vandalism of a house under construction by a Jewish family
PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — A home under construction in Nelsonville was defaced with anti-Semitic graffiti on Tuesday, authorities said.
The act against his Jewish neighbors infuriated Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, specially as it came only days after a deadly shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh left 11 dead and more seriously injured.
“This took place within eyesight of my kids’ school, where good people from all walks of life bring our kids to learn tolerance and respect," Maloney said in a statement. "Hate has no home in Cold Spring, and the light of good people coming together will expose it.
