Art Exhibit Opening Reception & Meet the Artist: "Torn"

Alex Lindquist is a photographer, writer, teacher and artist. Her eclectic background is mimicked in her art. Lindquist studied architecture and design, was a graphic designer for over 15 years and holds an MFA degree in Writing. She believes all the arts are intertwined and inspirational.

With the careful eye of a designer, Lindquist merges colorful pieces of photographs from National Geographic magazines to create collage images with innovative composition and depth. “It’s the details that tell us so much more, in everything from literature to photography; details are the little beauties we see every day, the intimate discovery that evokes a mood.“

Lindquist’s art, photography, poetry and short stories have been published in internationally acclaimed literary journals. Her artwork has been exhibited extensively and is in private collections.

This is Ms. Lindquist’s first one-person exhibit at Studio Around the Corner.
