Assault Victim Hit with Brick in Brewster
A Wappinger man has been charged in connection to the Oct. 24 incident.

New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation charged Robert J. Palumbo, 44 years old, of Wappinger, New York, with Assault 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, on Oct. 27.
The arrest followed an investigation into an incident Oct. 24.
Troopers were dispatched by Putnam County 911 to a village of Brewster home for a report of an assault.
The assailant had left before police arrived. The victim was treated at Putnam County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After investigation, police allege that Palumbo struck the victim several times in the head with a brick causing injury.
The State Police were assisted by the Village of Brewster Police Department.
Palumbo was arraigned before the Town of Kent Court and sent to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear before the Town of Brewster Court Oct. 30.
