Sunday — The Mahopac Indians, aided by 11 walks, beat the Brewster Bears by the score of 5-2. The loss sends Brewster's record to 4-7.
"It's been a tough season to be honest," said Coach Ed Mulvihill. "We certainly have played well enough to win more games but seem to have a letdown in each game that contributes to our losing. If we can clean up some of the mistakes we would be fine."

Brewster did play well against the undefeated Mahopac Indians leading them by the score of 2-1 going into the bottom of the 6th inning.
"Our starting pitcher ran out of gas and our relievers just didn't have it today," Mulvihill said.
Tigers Nip Bears
4/20/12 - The Brewster Bears were defeated by the North Salem Tigers by the score of 10-9. Brewster jumped out to an early 3-2 lead after an inning and was leading 6-5 before North Salem tied the score in the top of the 5th.
"Today both teams had their hitting shoes on," said Coach Mulvihill after the game. "We combined for 7 doubles and 2 triples today." Brewster trailed 9-6 going into the bottom of the 6th inning but fought back to tie the score.
North Salem was able to push a run across in the 7th to edge the Bears. TJ DelFranco led the Bears with a 2 for 3 day at the plate with a double and an RBI. Alex Hutt was 3 for 4 and scored three runs. Mark Bentson had 2 RBI's with a double and Matt Ghelarducci also had a double and an RBI for the Bears.

Brewster lost to John Jay 7-0 on Monday, according to the Brewster tennis team's website.
