Board of Education Agenda: Athletic Director to Resign
School officials had not posted any comment on the matter as of 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.
(BCSD) Athletic Director Lance Pliego appears to be resigning from his post, according to the agenda for a Nov. 15 Board of Education (BOE) meeting.
Pliego's supposed resignation is listed under personnel items, between lists of regular appointments and substitute aides/monitors. The document specifies the effective date of Pliego's resignation as Nov. 30.
As of 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, the school district had not posted any statement regarding the resignation on its website.

According to this March 2007 story in the NewsTimes, Pliego began his employment at BCSD more than four years ago, following a three-year stint as athletic director at New Mildford High School in Connecticut.
Pliego's 2011 salary is listed as $141,838 on SeeThroughNY.net, a site backed by the Empire Center for New York State Policy.

The NewsTimes report also states that Pliego, then 37, was living with his wife and two children in New Milford at the time of publication.
