Brewster Man Faces Felony DWI Charges

Brian E. Tiller was pulled over on Route 6 in Carmel Nov. 16.

Brian E. Tiller, 41, of Brewster, faces felony charges of driving while intoxicated and first degree aggregated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle due to an incident at 2:40 a.m. Nov. 16.

New York State Police from the Somers barracks stopped the car Tiller was driving on Route 6 for failing to maintain its lane of travel. As they interviewed him, they picked up clues that he was intoxicated.

Tiller was arraigned and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear in Carmel Town Court Nov. 18.

His New York State driving privileges had been revoked due to a previous DWI related conviction in 2009, police said.
