A video replay of the trials race should be posted soon at either http://www.armorytrack.com/ ,ny.milesplit.com or http://espn.go.com/high-school/track-and-xc/

In the same meet, junior Ariana Bottalico finished 6th overall, running the full mile in a new school record and personal best of 5:06 (5:04 for the 1600 meters).

Brewster boys basketball

The below is from the Brewster basketball team website:

Mahopac Defeats Brewster(Game10) The Indians of Mahopac defeated Brewster 64-46 Tuesday (Jan. 10) evening at Mahopac. The Bears struggled in the 1st quarter(six turnovers) to make good decisions with the ball leading to 12 1st quarter points.

Conversely Mahopac turned the ball over 8 times leading to only 2 points for the Bears. This pattern would continue as the Indians scored 24 points on 16 Brewster turnovers.

The Bears were down 34-14 at the half, their largest deficit in four years!! They were able to cut into the lead (43-30) late in the third quarter, but Mahopac's aggressiveness resulted in many free throw attempts(16/19) compared to a paltry 5/9 for Brewster.

In the 4th quarter an intense fullcourt attack led to a number of Mahopac turnovers but poor shooting(3/18) 3pt range and Mahopac's marksmanship at the free throw line sealed the Bear's fate.
