Brewster Voters To Consider School Budget, Buses, HVAC
The district's spending plan for 2019-20 and two other fiscal propositions are on the ballot May 21.

BREWSTER, NY — Voters in the Brewster school district will go to the polls May 21 to have their say on education spending for the 2019-20 school year. There are three fiscal propositions on the ballot.
The proposed budget is $101,040,661, up 3.04% from the current year. The tax levy increase is 4.06%, equal to this year's property tax cap.
Proposition 2 covers the purchase of buses through issuance of a Bond Anticipation Note of $753,000.

Proposition 3 asks voters to approve moving $2,000,000 out of the district's Fund Balance (accumulated savings) to its Capital Fund for HVAC Installation at JFK Elementary School.
