Braden Suppa had so many people turn out for his Student of Distinction award that there was almost no room in the photo afterward. At the May 23 Carmel Board of Education meeting, Braden was presented with the award for being an outstanding, mature, independent student who has grown immensely over the past two years, according to his teachers and everyone who knows him at BOCES.
His Pines Bridge teachers, principal, and other staff were on hand to help Braden celebrate, as was PNW BOCES Board President Richard Kreps, Assistant Superintendent Lou Riolo and, of course, Braden's family.

Braden’s teacher of the visually impaired, Bobbi Tuttle, says Braden is keen to take on new challenges. He does not shy away from any task, and his ability to navigate and thrive in the school environment is evident by his confidence and smiles throughout the day.
Braden’s physical therapist, Jenna Larkin, says that he exhibits both confidence and independence in his mobility within the school environment. He negotiates his surroundings with greater ease and continues to show improvements in his mobility.
