College Application Essay Boot Camp & More

Summer officially begins on June 21, and everyone at EA wishes you a great vacation. With that said, we also want to offer some key points about how to prepare for September’s senior year.

College Applications

The summer is the ideal time work on you college application. In fact, your senior year will be more enjoyable if you enter it knowing that you have completed your entire application. This year, EA will be holding its annual College Application Essay Writing Boot Camp, which will be held during August 18 - 21. Each class is ninety minutes, and you must attend one session each day of the camp. You can either choose to come the same time every day or change the session to accommodate your work or camp schedule. Sessions are held at 9:30 am, 12:00 (noon), 4:00 pm, or 6:00 pm. In four days, you will have your college application essay completed.

Since we know that families take vacations and many students attend camp, we are also bringing the EA Boot Camp into people’s homes. You can invite your friends to work on their essays for four days in your home. All you need is a minimum of four friends who can come at the same time on the same day in July or August, and we will help everyone who attends complete their essays.

SAT /ACT Test Dates

As many of you know the SAT is changing its format. The last dates that the current version will be given are October 3, November 7, and December 6. If you want to take the ACT, the dates are September 12, October 24, and December 13. We will begin our test preparation courses in August. New SAT Format

The SAT has been redesigned for the Spring 2016 tests. Please note that this fall’s PSAT will be using this new format. Judy and Ava will be explaining the changes at workshops this fall. During each session, key differences will be identified, and as always, there will be an adequate time for everyone’s questions to be answered. Below we have listed the locations and times for your convenience. We hope that you will join us as we demystify the exam.
