Cops Bust Pot Growing Operation in Kent

They found 19 plants.

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Kent resident on marijuana possession and cultivation charges following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.

In early May, a deputy sheriff assigned to the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit developed information that there was a man in Kent who was growing marijuana inside his Tompkins Road residence.

On May 10, members of the NEU served the subject with a warrant and conducted a search of the property where they recovered indoor “grow tents”, a ventilation system, “grow lights”, 19 marijuana plants which were in bloom and roughly five pounds of marijuana in different stages of processing.
