Cops: Cocaine, Marijuana Found During Southeast Traffic Stop

A Pound Ridge resident faces charges.

Forrest T. Rainford of Pound Ridge, New York, faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

On March 3, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks stopped Rainford on State Route 22 for driving a vehicle with a loud exhaust. A subsequent investigation revealed that the 24-year-old was in possession of marijuana, concentrated cannabis and cocaine, police allege.

Rainford was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court before the Honorable Richard Vercollone and sent to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $3,500 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is due to return to Town of Southeast Court on March 8.
