Cops: Danbury, Southeast Drivers in Fatal Pedestrian Accident Wednesday
The pedestrian was hit twice on Route 6 in Brewster.BREAKING

SOUTHEAST, NY – State police have been reconstructing Wednesday evening's fatal pedestrian accident.
Police said that at 6:10 p.m. Dec. 21, State Police from the Brewster barracks were dispatched by Putnam County 911 for a car / pedestrian collision on State Route 6 just east of County Route 121.
They say their investigation revealed that Marykay Roller, 60, of Southeast, was traveling westbound in the right lane of State Route 6 when she struck a pedestrian in the roadway. Another vehicle traveling westbound in the left lane, operated by 17-year-old Ian Hall of Danbury, Connecticut, was unable to take evasive action and also struck the man.

The pedestrian, a Southeast resident, was pronounced deceased by EMSTAR EMS.
Roller and Hall were not issued traffic tickets and are not suspected of any wrong-doing at this time.

The crash was reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
Also on scene were the Putnam County Coroner, EMSTAR, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, and the Brewster Fire Departments.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Brewster by calling (845) 677-7300. All calls can be kept confidential.
