
Fishkill, New York - New York State Police responded to a two-car rollover auto collision that occurred on I-84 westbound, just east of Exit 13, at 1 p.m. Saturday.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Mary Haggerty, 84, of Poughquag and Andre Jenkins, 43, of Mahopac, were both traveling westbound on I84. Jenkins, who was traveling in the right lane, attempted to exit the interstate at Exit 13 northbound.
Haggerty, who was traveling in the left lane, exited her lane for an unknown reason, crossed over all lanes of travel and struck the rear driver's side quarter panel of Jenkins's vehicle. Jenkins's vehicle flipped onto its roof and slid down the right shoulder of the roadway.

Haggerty's vehicle flipped over the guide rail and traveled approximately 150 yards down an embankment before it came to rest. Mobil Life transported Haggerty to Saint Luke's Hospital where she was pronounced deceased upon her arrival.
Jenkins and his 7-year-old son were transported to Saint Luke's Hospital by EMstar with non-life threatening injuries.
