UPDATE: Route 52 in Lake Carmel Reopened After Crash Cleanup

Update 2:10 p.m.: Transportation officials said Route 52 has been reopened in both directions.

CARMEL, NY — State transportation officials say that Route 52 is closed due to an accident that downed a utility pole at 11:30AM between Chauncey Road and Grey Oaks Court.

The closure could last for six hours, they said.
