Crash in the I-684 Rest Area in Southeast

New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested 38-year-old Paul E. Iannacone of Torrington, Connecticut, for Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched Jan. 20 to a two-car auto collision that occurred at the Southeast Rest area, off Interstate 684. Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Iannacone was found to be impaired by drugs at the time of the crash. No one was injured.

Iannacone was evaluated by a State Police Drug Recognition Expert and released with Traffic Tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Southeast Court on Feb. 2.
