Danbury Man Accused of Selling Pills in Putnam Lake

The County Sheriff's Office conducted an undercover investigation starting last summer.

A Connecticut man faces drug charges following an investigation into prescription medication sales in the Town of Patterson.

In the late summer of 2015, an investigator assigned to the Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit developed information that a Danbury man was selling pills in Putnam Lake.

Police allege the investigator made contact with the individual and made arrangements to purchase Roxycodone pills on several occasions over the ensuing months.

On March 30, 2016, Christopher Hillman, 27, of Shelter Rock Road, Danbury, was arrested and charged with two counts each of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, felonies.

He was arraigned before Town of Carmel Justice Joseph Spofford on behalf of the Town of Patterson and released pending a future court appearance.

If found guilty of the felony charges, the defendant could face up to 25 years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to $30,000 for each charge.
